Water, air
and soil.
Whether plasma technology could play a part in cleaning up the environment is one of the questions people in this field keep returning to. This page describes those questions. It describes nothing we sell.
This is a research question,
not a solution you can buy.
Everything below is being investigated. None of it has been established, and none of it is something we offer. We are a small shop making Plasma GaNS by hand for personal use, and we do no environmental work of any kind.
Contaminants
The question here is whether plasma materials could bind or break down substances such as heavy metals. It is being tested in small experiments. What those experiments mean at any real scale is not yet clear, and honest researchers in this field say the same.
Water
The most ambitious question in this direction, and the one where we are most careful. Whether plasma could contribute to water treatment on an industrial scale is open. What is not open: nothing we sell treats water in that sense, and nothing we sell should ever be relied on for drinking water safety.
Soil
Whether plasma could help break down residues in soil, such as pesticides, is being explored by growers and researchers. This is the direction that overlaps with agriculture, and it is where most of the practical experimenting happens.
Air
The idea of capturing or neutralising airborne substances is the least developed of the four. We mention it because it belongs in the list, not because there is anything to report.
Why people
keep looking.
Conventional cleanup often needs harsh chemicals or a lot of energy. Anything that might do the same work more gently is worth a serious look. That is the motive behind this whole direction, and a motive is not a result.
We do none
of this work.
We are two people in Hoofddorp making bottles and tubes by hand for personal use. We are not environmental scientists, we run no cleanup projects, and we sell nothing for this purpose.
Our customers do write to us about their plants, and that is the one place where our small world touches this large one. Everything else on this page belongs to other people.
What we actually make.
A bottle beside your bed, a tube in your water. Small, concrete, and something we can answer questions about.
